Fantasilandia

A day of magic in the heart of the Val di Sole

Fantasilandia is the summer highlight that the Municipality of Commezzadura, in the province of Trento and the Trentino-Alto Adige region, dedicates to children and families. The festival takes place in the picturesque village of Mastellina, which for one full day turns into a genuine open-air theatre: the village streets, small squares, and courtyards become the backdrop for an immersive, widespread performance designed to amaze children and engage the adults accompanying them.

A themed travelling show

At the heart of Fantasilandia is the travelling theatrical show curated by the Anà-Thema Teatro company, which reinterprets a different theme related to the world of fantasy, myth, and fairy tales each year. Past editions have seen the audience travel through Greek mythology and Mount Olympus, the world of the Wizard of Oz, the adventurous journey of Ulysses and the Odyssey, and even legendary creatures. Actors in costume, fantastical characters, and elaborate sets bring the route to life, guiding families from one stage to the next along the streets of Mastellina.

Workshops, games, and entertainment

Beyond the travelling show, the day is packed with activities for children of all ages:

• Creative and craft workshops;
• Bouncy castles and play areas;
• Giant soap bubbles;
• Comic juggling and clowning shows;
• Face painting;
• Themed trails such as the "first steps" ski slope and "firefighter for a day";
• Magic, illusionism, and sand art shows.

A bar and refreshment area complete the offering, allowing families to spend the entire day immersed in fun.

A tradition of the Pro Loco Commezzadura

Established in 2022, Fantasilandia is organised by the Pro Loco Commezzadura and has quickly become one of the most beloved events for children in the Val di Sole. The event showcases the village of Mastellina and serves as a shared celebration for both residents and tourists vacationing in the Daolasa area and the Val di Sole, nestled in the mountains of western Trentino.
