The Olympic fan village in Piazza Paul Tschurtschenthaler, Brunico
On the occasion of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, from February 6th to 22nd, 2026, the central Piazza Paul Tschurtschenthaler in Brunico/Bruneck, in the Puster Valley, will transform into an official Fan Village. The Municipality of Brunico, located in the heart of South Tyrol (Alto Adige) and at the foot of the Plan de Corones (Kronplatz) ski area, thus becomes a key gathering point to experience the Olympic excitement even without a ticket for the events.
The heart of the Fan Village is a large LED screen broadcasting Olympic competitions from all winter disciplines live every day from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The square becomes an open-air grandstand where residents, guests, and sports fans can follow the events together, cheer for the athletes, and soak up the Olympic spirit.
The village officially opens on Friday, February 6th at 7:00 PM with celebrations; at 8:00 PM, the Opening Ceremony of the Games will be broadcast live from the San Siro Stadium in Milan on the giant LED screen. On February 9th, the Olympic mascot will visit Brunico to meet the public. Throughout the two weeks, the program also includes interviews with former Olympic athletes and presentations by local winter sports clubs from the Brunico area.
The convivial aspect is not to be missed: the Fan Village stands offer a selection of hot and cold drinks and traditional South Tyrolean gastronomic specialties, perfect for accompanying the days of sport with the typical flavors of the region.
The Brunico Fan Village is an extraordinary, one-time event linked exclusively to the 2026 edition of the Winter Olympic Games hosted by Milan, Cortina d'Ampezzo, and the Dolomite resorts. Organized by Kronplatz Tourism and the Brunico Tourist Office, it offers free admission and represents an opportunity for the entire community of the Province of Bolzano and tourists to share the enthusiasm of the home Olympics in a region, Trentino-South Tyrol, that is one of the protagonists of the Games.
