The summer festival of the Fiordo village on the Amalfi Coast
Facciamo Furore is the summer festival promoted by the municipal administration of Furore, a small town in the Province of Salerno, Campania, nestled among the terraces of the Amalfi Coast. There is no central square here around which the village revolves: Furore is a scattered village, made of houses spread along the ridge and staircases descending towards the sea. For this reason, the summer program moves from place to place, bringing each event to a different setting and transforming the entire municipal territory into an open-air stage.
The formula is that of a widespread festival: a few events, well-distributed from mid-July to early September, each with its own identity. Music under the stars, entertainment shows with the audience as the protagonist, traditional religious festivals, moments dedicated to the youth, and a gastronomic finale linked to a symbolic local product. The goal declared by the Municipality is to offer opportunities for meeting and sharing in the most evocative points of the village, enhancing the territory with events designed for all ages.
The fifth edition, presented as Facciamo Furore โ Summer 2026, opens on Saturday, July 18, and closes on Saturday, September 5. Six dates, all in the evening except one, distributed among the viewpoints, small squares, and the coastline:
Much of the charm of Facciamo Furore lies in its locations. Viale dell'Amore is the panoramic path that runs halfway up the coast and offers one of the widest views of the coastline: by candlelight, in the evening, it becomes one of the most photographed settings of the Amalfi summer. Piazza Mola, redeveloped in recent years, is the civic heart of the village, the place where the community meets. The Fiordo di Furore, with its small beach under the bridge arch, is the postcard that has made the village famous worldwide. Finally, Parco della Pellerina is the equipped green space that hosts the most convivial appointments, from children's parties to food stands.
The last event of the program is also the most deeply rooted in the village's memory. The prickly pear grows spontaneously on dry-stone walls and terraces that rise from the sea towards the Monti Lattari, and it has always been part of the local diet and landscape. The festival dedicated to it brings together tastings, music, and entertainment, and is traditionally one of the moments when the Furore community gathers in full before the end of summer.
The festival was born in 2022 and has progressively taken shape: in 2024, with the third edition, the program featured nine appointments distributed between August 10 and September 8, with concerts at the Fiordo, the Feast of San Pasquale, the religious Ferragosto, games for children at Parco della Pellerina, and the Prickly Pear Festival. In 2026, the format focused on six dates, widening the time window to include the whole month of July.
The 2026 summer of Furore lights up with the fifth edition of Facciamo Furore, the program promoted by the Municipality to accompany residents and tourists from July to September with a calendar focused on music, tradition, and entertainment.
Six dates are scheduled, designed for different audience groups and hosted each time in a different place in the village: the Viale dell'Amore viewpoint, the Via Mola square, the Fiordo, and Parco della Pellerina. The administration explained that the goal is to ยซoffer moments of meeting and sharing in evocative placesยป, enhancing the territory through events designed for all ages.
Compared to previous years, the 2026 edition brings the start forward to mid-July and extends the season until the first days of September, so as to cover the entire tourist summer of the Amalfi Coast.
Candlelight Concert, Viale dell'Amore. The panoramic viewpoint turns into an open-air stage illuminated by hundreds of candles: live music at sunset, in an intimate and cozy atmosphere.
La Corrida, Piazza Mola. Entertainment evening dedicated to local amateurs, with the active participation of the audience.
Feast of San Pasquale, with the concert of Alessandro D'Auria. The feast dedicated to San Pasquale Baylon combines popular devotion and music.
Janarea Mystic Fest, Fiordo di Furore. Show with evocative atmospheres in the village's iconic setting.
Foam Party, Parco della Pellerina. Afternoon of games and music dedicated to children, teenagers, and families.
Prickly Pear Festival, Parco della Pellerina. The traditional festival that celebrates one of the symbolic fruits of the territory closes the program with tastings, music, and entertainment.
Furore is reached by traveling along the SS163 Amalfitana state road, between Amalfi and Positano; the village is served by bus lines connecting the towns of the Coast. The reference railway station is Salerno, from where you can continue by bus or ferry to Amalfi. The nearest airports are Naples-Capodichino and Salerno-Costa d'Amalfi.
Parking spaces along the state road are very limited, especially in August: it is advisable to arrive well in advance or use public transport. Access to the Fiordo beach is via a long staircase.
The events are in the evening and outdoors: bring a light sweatshirt, as the sea breeze can cool the air. Comfortable shoes are essential, as moving between the festival locations involves stairs and slopes.
