Music in all its forms at Palazzo Minneci, blending Sicilian folk tradition, jazz, and brass ensembles.
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
Euterpe Fest is a music festival held in Motta d'Affermo, a small village in the province of Messina, nestled in the heart of northern Sicily between the scenic Valli Alesine and the slopes of the Nebrodi mountains. The name pays homage to Euterpe, the Greek Muse of music, perfectly capturing the spirit of the event: a journey through diverse musical languages, from Sicilian oral tradition to contemporary jazz.
The beating heart of the festival is Palazzo Minneci, a 17th-century historic residence recently restored from an abandoned ruin into a vibrant cultural hub for the town. Its rooms and spaces provide an intimate, cozy stage, perfect for enhancing the connection between the audience and the performers.
The Euterpe Fest program consistently spans various genres and traditions:
Euterpe Fest is part of the "Costa e Valli Alesine" project, an itinerary aimed at rediscovering the villages of Castel di Lucio, Motta d'Affermo, and Pettineo, funded by the Ministry of Culture under the PNRR "Next Generation EU" initiative to revitalize small towns. The music festival is thus part of a broader plan to promote the historical, archaeological, and cultural heritage of ancient Halaesa and its surrounding territory.
Attending Euterpe Fest means not only enjoying great music but also discovering an authentic corner of inland Sicily: the quiet of the villages, the views stretching from the mountains down to the Tyrrhenian Sea, and the hospitality of a community that uses culture as its engine for rebirth.
At the moment, the dates and program for the 2026 edition of Euterpe Fest have not yet been officially communicated by the organizers.
