Ancient crafts and rural arts come alive in the hamlet of Crosara
The European Museum Night in Crosara, a hillside hamlet of Marostica (province of Vicenza, Veneto), is dedicated to the Straw Ecomuseum in the Peasant Tradition, an institution that preserves the memory of straw working and the rural culture of the area. For one evening, the village becomes an open-air museum.
The Cultural Association Terra e Vita enlivens the streets and squares of Crosara with the reenactment of ancient crafts and rural arts, thanks to numerous costumed figures. Straw working, traditional agricultural activities, and gestures of peasant civilization once again take center stage, in a journey that combines memory, education, and entertainment.
The event, part of the European Museum Night, enhances the ethnographic heritage of the Marostica hills and strengthens the community's bond with its rural roots. In case of bad weather, the event will be cancelled.
