The walled town dresses up for Christmas
Christmas with Us is the program of initiatives that enlivens the Christmas period in Marostica (province of Vicenza, Veneto). From the lighting of the tree and lights on the walls until Epiphany, the historic center hosts a long series of events designed for families, children, and visitors, in the scenic setting of Piazza Castello.
Ice skating rink and markets
The heart of the initiative is the 500-square-meter ice skating rink set up in Piazza Castello, alongside the Christmas markets in the square and along Corso Mazzini, with musical entertainment. Among the most popular events are the itinerant show 'A Christmas Carol' in the historic center and the gospel concerts at the Teatro Politeama.
The magic of Christmas Eve
The most evocative moment is the evening of December 24th, with the parade of Santas in carriages accompanied by the Philharmonic Band and, in the evening, fireworks with the famous burning of the Lower Castle. The celebration continues until Epiphany, with the arrival of the Befana and shows for the little ones. The event is organized by the Municipality of Marostica with Pro Marostica, Confcommercio, and Confartigianato.
Christmas with Us — edition 2026
The 2026/2027 edition of Christmas with Us will return to liven up the Christmas period in Marostica from the last weekend of November until Epiphany. As per established tradition, the 500 sqm ice skating rink in Piazza Castello, the Christmas markets, the itinerant show 'A Christmas Carol', gospel concerts, and the grand Christmas Eve celebration with fireworks and the burning of the Lower Castle are expected. The detailed calendar with dates and times will be published in autumn 2026 by the Municipality and Pro Marostica.

The detailed program for the 2026/2027 edition will be announced in autumn 2026. The usual structure includes: lighting of the tree and lights on the walls at the end of November, ice skating rink in Piazza Castello, Sunday Christmas markets in the square and on Corso Mazzini, itinerant show 'A Christmas Carol', gospel concerts at the Teatro Politeama, parade of Santas and burning of the Lower Castle on the evening of December 24th, arrival of the Befana for Epiphany.

How to get there
Marostica is reachable by car from the A31 motorway (exit Dueville or Thiene-Schio) towards Bassano del Grappa. The nearest train station is Bassano del Grappa (about 8 km). The events take place in the pedestrian historic center and in Piazza Castello.
Costs
Free entry to most events. Ice skating rink: €10 with skate rental, €7 without rental.
