Centuries of fair tradition
The Fiera Franca of Cittadella is a multi-secular fair, among the oldest in the Veneto region, held every late October in the walled city in the province of Padua. Now in its 432nd edition, the fair has its roots in the mercantile tradition of the fortified city and still maintains its popular and authentic character today.
Three days of celebration in the walled center
For three days, the historic center fills with stalls along the riverbanks, typical products, and local crafts. At Villa Rina, there is the exhibition area and the large gastronomic tent with typical Venetian dishes; along the Riva dell'Ospedale and the ramparts, the agricultural and gardening machinery market exhibition takes place; the funfair is set up near the sports facilities. During the fair, the Rampart Walk, the panoramic route on top of the walls, is also open with daytime and nighttime openings.
The livestock fair and fireworks
On Monday morning, the ancient Livestock Fair is held near the Cemetery, a legacy of the area's agricultural vocation. The event concludes with the traditional evening fireworks display, which illuminates the walls of Cittadella. Admission is free.
Fiera Franca — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Fiera Franca is held from Saturday, October 24 to Monday, October 26 in the historic center of Cittadella. Three days of stalls, typical products, local crafts, agricultural and gardening machinery market exhibition along Riva dell'Ospedale and the ramparts, gastronomic tent at Villa Rina, and funfair at the sports facilities. The Rampart Walk is open with dedicated hours, including at night. The fair coincides with the patron saint's day, Saint Prosdocimus (October 25).

Saturday, October 24
- Rampart Walk: open 9:00 AM-6:00 PM (last entry) and at night 9:00 PM-12:00 AM (last entry 11:00 PM)
- From 6:00 PM — opening of the agricultural and gardening machinery market exhibition along Riva dell'Ospedale
- Tent with gastronomic stands at Villa Rina, with typical Venetian dishes
- Funfair at the sports facilities area
Sunday, October 25
- Rampart Walk: open 9:00 AM-10:00 PM (last entry 9:00 PM)
- From 9:00 AM — historic center with stalls along the riverbanks to the sports facilities and market of typical products
- Agricultural machinery market exhibition and funfair
- Patron saint's day, Saint Prosdocimus
Monday, October 26
- Morning — ancient Livestock Fair near the Cemetery

How to get here
Cittadella is served by the train station on the Padova–Bassano del Grappa line and by the SP47 Valsugana. During the fair, a specific traffic regulation is in place for the historic center: it's best to consult the Municipality's instructions.
Admission
Free admission to the fair. The Rampart Walk and the gastronomic tent have dedicated hours; paid consumption at the stands.
