Four nights of European beers and twinning celebrations in the heart of the Florentine Valdarno
There are local village festivals, and then there is the European Beer Festival in Reggello, located in the heart of the upper Valdarno in the Province of Florence, Tuscany. What makes it special is not just the beer poured under the stars, but the spirit of twinning that animates every edition: for four nights, the town welcomes delegations from its European twin cities and becomes, for a few days, a small crossroads of the continent.
The core of the festival takes place in the areas of Piazza Aldo Moro and the Sports Field, where beer stands are set up. The selection is intentionally broad, ranging from classic lagers and ales from Central Europe to more experimental offerings. The event is made unique by the delegations from towns twinned with Reggello — Rossdorf (Germany), Voesendorf (Austria), Trzebinia (Poland), and Billy-Montigny (France) — who bring beers and gastronomic specialties from their territories, enriching the selection with authentic European flavors.
Every evening features an entertainment program designed for all ages: live concerts, tribute bands, local groups, DJ sets, and themed parties enliven the square until late at night. Alongside the stage, there are food stalls, dining areas, and moments dedicated to families, in a convivial atmosphere that is the true hallmark of the event.
The European Beer Festival was born with an objective that goes beyond pure fun: to value the friendships born from twinning and to promote cultural exchange and mutual understanding between communities. This is why, edition after edition, the festival has grown to become one of the reference summer events for the Municipality of Reggello, capable of attracting visitors from all over the Valdarno and the Florentine area.
The event is organized by the Pro Loco Reggello e Cascia, with the patronage of the Municipality of Reggello and the collaboration of local associations. Admission is free.
The 2026 European Beer Festival returns to Reggello from Thursday, July 2 to Sunday, July 5, 2026, confirming the four nights of tastings, music, and European twinning that have made the event famous. Once again this year, the stage will be set between Piazza Aldo Moro and the Sports Field, with stands dedicated to beers from the twin cities (Rossdorf, Voesendorf, Trzebinia, Billy-Montigny) and flavors from Europe.
The detailed program for the four nights (concert line-up, tribute bands, DJ sets, and themed parties) will be announced by the Pro Loco Reggello e Cascia and the Municipality of Reggello in the weeks leading up to the event. The usual structure includes live entertainment, DJ sets, and activities for all ages every evening, alongside the beer stands and the gastronomy of the twin delegations.
