Two evenings of flavor, music, and tradition under the stars in San Clemente di Galluccio
Every July, the village of San Clemente di Galluccio becomes a gathering point for residents and visitors alike thanks to the Estate Gallucciana, an evening festival that brings Piazza Umberto I to life. Part of the summer program curated by the Municipality of Galluccio, in the province of Caserta, the event is organized by the Pro Loco of Galluccio and transforms the town center into a vibrant celebration where taste, music, and tradition intertwine under the Alto Casertano sky.
The program spans two evenings. The format is that of an authentic village festival: a large street food area offers simple, genuine recipes from traditional cuisine, paired with local wines such as Aglianico and Falanghina, true expressions of this part of Campania's winemaking heritage. Alongside the food stalls, a fair takes place, with gazebos showcasing books, handicrafts, home goods, perfumes, and accessoriesโa perfect route for strolling, browsing, and socializing.
Music is the common thread of the evenings. One night is dedicated to traditional Southern Italian music, with tambourines, accordions, and ancient melodies that draw the audience into a collective celebration, capturing the spirit of pizzica and Southern traditions. The other evening features a more elegant repertoire of pop music, with songs to sing along to in an intimate, family-friendly atmosphere. A balance designed to engage all generations.
The Estate Gallucciana is much more than just an evening of entertainment: it represents a moment of connection for the entire community of Galluccio, a small town in the Caserta hinterland nestled in the hills bordering Lazio. The event promotes local products, craftsmanship, and the musical traditions of the South, offering visitors an authentic taste of Campanian hospitality. Admission is free, and free parking is available near the square, confirming the popular and accessible nature of the event.
