The Easter Monday Market in Omegna

Every year, on Easter Monday, the Municipality of Omegna hosts a special edition of its historic weekly market. For this occasion, the usual Thursday market moves to the Lungolago Gramsci, offering residents and visitors a day of shopping and strolling along the shores of Lake Orta, in the Verbano-Cusio-Ossola area of Piedmont.

Stalls and Products

The market stretches along the lakeside, from the town center towards the Bagnella district, with dozens of stalls offering a wide and varied assortment:

• Clothing, accessories, and gift items
• Food products from local producers: cheeses, cured meats, fresh fish, fruit, and vegetables
• Household goods, flowers, and curiosities

It is the ideal opportunity to discover local flavors and take a walk in one of the most picturesque settings in Piedmont, with Lake Orta and the island of San Giulio in the background.

A Growing Tradition

Launched just a few years ago, the initiative has established itself as one of the most anticipated events in Omegna's spring calendar. The 2026 edition is the fourth: a sign of the success of a simple and appealing formula that combines outdoor shopping with the charm of the lakeside on the holiday following Easter.

Omegna and Lake Orta

The capital of the Cusio region, Omegna, lies at the northern end of Lake Orta and is known for its manufacturing tradition (home to household brands like Alessi, Bialetti, and Lagostina) and its connection to the writer Gianni Rodari, who was born here. The Easter Monday Market is a great opportunity to visit the historic center and the town's lakeside, combining a market day with a trip on the lake.
