A journey through time between the two seas of the Strait

DueMari is the vintage car and motorcycle rally that, every spring, symbolically unites the two shores of the Strait of Messina. Starting from the town of Villafranca Tirrena, in the Metropolitan City of Messina (Sicily), the event travels to the Peloritan capital. Organized by the Scuderia Phoenix EV with the support of local clubs and enthusiasts, the event gathers dozens of historic cars and motorcycles that parade along the State Road 113, offering spectators an authentic spectacle of elegance and mechanics from a bygone era.

The tradition of Peloritan motoring

The rally evokes the glory of the great competitions that shaped the history of Messina's motoring scene, such as the legendary Coppa Vinci and the iconic Dieci Ore Notturna—races that drew drivers and crowds to the roads of the Peloritani mountains throughout the 20th century. DueMari carries on this legacy in a celebratory and amateur spirit, highlighting the region's historic automotive and motorcycle heritage.

A day of processions, trials, and conviviality

The day begins early in Piazza De Curtis in Villafranca Tirrena, with participant registration and a vehicle exhibition accompanied by a social breakfast. The procession then winds its way toward Messina, where timed skill tests are held in the Stadio Franco Scoglio area, divided into the "Targa Don Minico" and "Città di Messina" sectors.
