About De Gusto

De Gusto is the travelling tasting event that enlivens the streets of the historic centre of Vastogirardi, in Alto Molise. With a tasting glass, you can explore the medieval village, sampling wines from various wineries, amidst exhibitions by local artists, an artisan market, and a final concert at the foot of the Castle, in an evening that combines taste, art, and atmosphere.

A walk through the flavours of Molise

The event De Gusto – Degustazione Itinerante transforms the historic centre of Vastogirardi, a medieval village in Alto Molise (province of Isernia), into an evening food and wine route. Participants receive a traditional pouch with a tasting glass and walk through the village streets, sampling wines from different wineries.

Art, craftsmanship, and music

Along the route, the tasting is combined with an exhibition by local artists and an artisan market that animate the corners of the village. The evening culminates with a final concert in Piazza Giusto Girardi, at the foot of the suggestive Medieval Castle, the monumental heart of Vastogirardi.

A local event

Organised by the "De Gusto" Cultural and Food and Wine Association, the event showcases the products and wineries of the Alto Molise region, offering residents and visitors a convivial way to discover the village and its flavours during one of the liveliest evenings of the summer.
