About Crossroads Fusignano

Crossroads is the travelling festival that every year brings great jazz to over twenty municipalities in Emilia-Romagna. The Fusignano stop, in the Bassa Romagna area of the province of Ravenna, takes place between March and April at the Arcangelo Corelli Auditorium with a series of authorial concerts. A rich and varied festival that blends classic jazz, experimentation, French chanson, live film scores, and tributes to the great masters, in a hall with refined acoustics just a stone's throw from the historic centre.

Crossroads, the thousand miles of jazz in Emilia-Romagna

Crossroads is one of the longest-running and most widespread jazz festivals in Italy: a travelling festival that every year crosses the entire Emilia-Romagna region, stopping in over twenty municipalities with a packed schedule of concerts from March to July. The organisation is curated by Jazz Network ETS, in collaboration with the Department of Culture of the Emilia-Romagna Region and with the support of the Ministry of Culture. The festival's distinctive feature is its international scope combined with its widespread presence throughout the territory: from large theatres to small villages, jazz truly reaches every corner of the region.

Fusignano and the Corelli Auditorium

In the Municipality of Fusignano, in the Bassa Romagna area of the province of Ravenna, Crossroads finds one of its most beloved venues: the Arcangelo Corelli Auditorium, at vicolo Belletti 2. The hall — named after the great Baroque composer and violinist born in Fusignano in 1653 — offers an intimate and warm acoustic, ideal for close listening to live jazz. Every year, the Fusignano stop offers a series of evenings that make it one of the most anticipated cultural events of the city's calendar, organised in collaboration with the Municipality of Fusignano.

An eclectic and authorial programme

The strength of Crossroads lies in its eclecticism: alongside international stars, there is space for historical masters of improvisation, emerging talents, and an extraordinary variety of styles. The Fusignano stop fully reflects this vocation, alternating between classic and contemporary jazz, singer-songwriter music, French chanson, fusions with world music, live soundtracks for silent films, and tributes to the great film composers. Over the years, the festival has hosted names such as Pat Metheny, Enrico Rava, Stefano Bollani, Richard Galliano, and Hamid Drake.

Why it's worth it

  • Authorial concerts in a hall with refined acoustics, the Corelli Auditorium, named after the famous composer from Fusignano.
  • A varied programme ranging from jazz to chanson, from film music to tributes to the great masters.
  • Tickets are affordably priced compared to major concerts in big cities.
  • An opportunity to discover Fusignano and the quiet charm of the Bassa Romagna.

Fusignano, the birthplace of Arcangelo Corelli and a vibrant cultural hub in the Bassa Romagna, confirms its connection with great music through Crossroads, bringing Italian and international authorial jazz to Emilia-Romagna every spring.
