Gatteo Mare Becomes the Wild West
The Country & Beer Festival is the event that, every spring, transforms Gatteo Mare — the seaside resort in the Municipality of Gatteo, in the province of Forlì-Cesena (Emilia-Romagna) — into a lively western-style village. Born in 2025, the event grew rapidly until it moved, for its second edition, to the large Viale Europa Park, a spacious area with convenient free parking.
Country Music and Line Dancing
The heart of the festival is country culture in its most authentic and fun form: live concerts, DJ sets, and especially group dancing. Line dancing, with hats and boots, livens up the evenings thanks to the collaboration of local dance schools like Free to Dance, Black Devils, and Wild Angels. Bands specializing in country and rock'n'roll repertoires from across the ocean have performed on stage.
Beer, Flavors, and Overseas Atmospheres
Alongside the music, the festival offers a large gastronomic area with themed dishes and a good selection of beers, the true common thread of the event along with dancing. There are also attractions that evoke the imagery of the Old West: the mechanical bull, a challenge open to all ages, and especially the spectacular exhibition of vintage American cars and iconic stars and stripes models, curated by American Dreamcars.
An Event for the Whole Family
The Country & Beer Festival is a free-entry popular celebration, designed for audiences of all ages. It is organized by the Associazione Uniti per Gatteo in collaboration with the Giulio Cesare Cultural Recreation Center and with the patronage of the Municipality of Gatteo. Its timing at the end of April, just before the April 25th holiday, makes it one of the first outdoor festival opportunities of the season on the Romagna Riviera, capable of attracting country music enthusiasts and curious visitors from the entire Cesena area.
Country & Beer Festival — edition 2026
The second edition of the Country & Beer Festival changed location, moving to the larger Viale Europa Park in Gatteo Mare, with an expanded food area compared to the previous year. Three days of live concerts, group dancing, western attractions, and conviviality, with free admission.
For 2026, the event was again organized by the Associazione Uniti per Gatteo with the Giulio Cesare Cultural Recreation Center and the patronage of the Municipality of Gatteo, confirming the late April date as one of the first outdoor festivals of the season on the Riviera.

- 7:00 PM — Opening of the food stands
- 9:00 PM — Live concert by West River
Saturday, April 25
- 12:15 PM — Opening of the food stands (lunch)
- 4:00 PM — DJ set and country dancing with the schools Free to Dance and Black Devils
- 7:00 PM — Reopening of the food stands (dinner)
- 9:00 PM — Concert by Cadillac Ranch
- All day: exhibition of American cars and challenge on the mechanical bull
Sunday, April 26

Where it Takes Place
Viale Europa Park, Gatteo Mare (Municipality of Gatteo, province of Forlì-Cesena). The area is served by ample free parking, including a multi-story car park nearby.
How to Get There
By car: take the Cesena or Rimini Nord exit from the A14 motorway, then follow the SS 16 Adriatica towards Gatteo Mare. By train: Gatteo a Mare station on the Bologna–Ancona line (regional stops), or the nearby Cesenatico station.
Admission and Hours
Free admission. Food and drink stands open on Friday evening and all day, for lunch and dinner, on Saturday and Sunday.
