A classic of Rimini's running scene

Corri Verucchio is one of the most established non-competitive running walks in the sports calendar of the Rimini area. In 2026, it will reach its thirty-ninth edition. The event takes place in Villa Verucchio, a populous hamlet of the Municipality of Verucchio, in the province of Rimini, in the heart of Emilia-Romagna. It is organized by the Gruppo Podistico Villa Verucchio, a local sports association, with the patronage of the Municipality of Verucchio.

Two routes through asphalt, cycle paths, and nature

The run offers two courses designed to satisfy both walking enthusiasts and those seeking a more challenging physical activity:

• 5 km route: ideal for families, children, and walkers, on predominantly flat sections.
• 10 km route: winds along asphalt roads, the Marecchia River cycle path, dirt roads, and trails immersed in the greenery of Valmarecchia.

The routes allow participants to appreciate the natural beauty of the Rimini hinterland, with views of the valley and the hilly village of Verucchio, one of the "Most Beautiful Villages in Italy" dominated by the Malatesta Fortress.

A celebration for everyone

Corri Verucchio is not a competitive race: it is an event open to everyone, without age limits, inviting citizens, families, running enthusiasts, and casual walkers to spend a morning outdoors dedicated to movement, well-being, and discovering the territory. Refreshment points are set up along the route, and a hearty final refreshment awaits participants at the finish line. Safety is ensured by the presence of an ambulance and medical service at the start and finish.

The event keeps alive a tradition that has lasted for almost four decades and, in its most popular editions, has gathered up to 400 runners from all over Romagna, with awards for both individuals and the largest sports clubs.
