The Coppa dei Borghi has become a highly anticipated event in the summer calendar of Verolengo, a town in the Metropolitan City of Turin, Piedmont. It is a 9-a-side football tournament that pits teams from the various districts and hamlets of the town against each other, turning a provincial pitch into a stage for healthy local rivalry. More than just a sporting event, it is a true popular festival that brings together entire families, friends, and local supporters.
Vying for the trophy are the teams representing the various corners of Verolengo: Borgo Revel, Casabianca, Madonnina, Balonn-Maglio, Rivora, and other local areas. Each district proudly displays its colors and players in a competition where competitive spirit blends with fun and a sense of belonging. The draw for the groups, the true opening moment of the event, traditionally takes place in the town square in the presence of the public and team captains.
The evenings of the Coppa dei Borghi are filled with cheering, conviviality, and the community spirit typical of the towns in the Canavese area and the Po Valley. The matches, mostly played in the evening, attract numerous spectators to the Municipal Field, where there is no shortage of refreshments and opportunities for different generations of the town to meet.
The 2026 edition, the third in the tournament's history, took place from June 3 to 14, with the grand final on Saturday, June 14 at 9:00 PM at the Municipal Field. An event organized by the Municipality of Verolengo that, edition after edition, has become a symbol of local identity and the bond between the inhabitants and their districts.
The 2026 edition of the Coppa dei Borghi confirmed the winning formula of the 9-a-side football tournament between the districts of Verolengo. After the group stage draw in the square, the district teams faced off on the Municipal Field from June 3 to 14.
Surprises were not lacking from the very first days: Borgo Revel and Casabianca opened the tournament with two victories, with Casabianca managing to overcome the defending champions, Balonn-Maglio. The event, organized by the Municipality of Verolengo, concluded with the night-time final.

Matches are played at the Municipal Field of Verolengo (TO), in the Turin plains. The municipal office is located at Via Rimembranza 4, 10038 Verolengo.
Verolengo is approximately 37 km from Turin. By car, it is easily accessible via the road network connecting the regional capital to the Canavese area and the Po Valley. The Verolengo train station is on the TurinโMilan line (passing through Chivasso).
The registration/participation fee is โฌ15 per person. Public admission to the matches is generally free.
Matches are played mainly in the evening; the final is held at night.
