Contatto is the flagship season of CSS Teatro stabile di innovazione del Friuli Venezia Giulia, one of the most important theatre institutions in the Northeast. For over forty years, CSS has brought the best of the Italian and international contemporary scene to Udine, with a courageous programme that makes research and innovation its distinctive feature. The season takes place between the Palamostre Theatre and the San Giorgio Theatre, from October to May.

Contatto — edition 2026
The 43rd Contatto Season by CSS is dedicated to the theme "Generative Times" and runs from October 2025 to May 2026 between the Palamostre Theatre and the San Giorgio Theatre in Udine, with a co-production at the Teatro Nuovo Giovanni da Udine. The programme offers 21 performances spread over 41 evenings. The season opens on October 11, 2025, with "Historia del Amor" by the Catalan multimedia collective Agrupación Señor Serrano, a reflection on love as a creative force and destructive myth. The artistic direction is by Fabrizio Arcuri, with Rita Maffei as president.
