About Confini

Confini Fest is the festival that every August transforms the Santa Maura area of Corsano, at the tip of the Salento peninsula, into a crossroads of music, art, and reflection on the future of Southern Italy. Born from the Contrabbando Speranza collective, it features three stages with live concerts, DJ sets, and performances, all with a participatory and plastic-free spirit. Two days of sound ranging from electronic to singer-songwriter music, culminating on the night of San Lorenzo, with free admission and a focus on a South that remains a land for the young.

Confini Fest, the Salento looking forward

There are festivals that simply stage concerts, and others that try to tell a story about a piece of the world. Confini Fest belongs to the latter category. Every summer, the Santa Maura area, just a stone's throw from the center of Corsano, in the heart of the Capo di Leuca in the province of Lecce, lights up with music, lights, and voices for two days that are both a celebration and a statement. Here, amidst the dry-stone walls and the wind rising from the sea, the festival weaves together big names from the Italian independent scene and emerging artists, international DJs, and singer-songwriters.

A festival born from the South, for the South

Confini is the flagship event of the Contrabbando Speranza collective, a young and militant project that has been enlivening Corsano for several years with a clear idea: to overturn the usual narrative about the South and prove that it is, more than ever, a land for young people. Not a place to flee from, but a space to inhabit, imagine, and transform. This vocation is felt in every choice the festival makes, from the musical programming to the way the spaces are experienced.

Three stages and an immersive experience

The formula features three stages that host, seamlessly, live concerts, DJ sets, and performances. The audience moves between the stations, immersed in the landscape of the Salento countryside, where clean air and slow rhythms coexist with the energy of electronic music. Surrounding the musical program are a market of local producers, art exhibitions, and Salento gastronomy, for an experience that engages all the senses.

  • Live music with artists from the Italian indie and singer-songwriter scene.
  • DJ sets featuring names from the national and international electronic scene.
  • Performances and cultural moments under the sky of Santa Maura.
  • Plastic-free approach with reusable cups and a focus on environmental impact.

The night of San Lorenzo

The festival reaches its peak on the night of San Lorenzo, August 10th, when the program continues until dawn with music, dancing, and eyes turned to the sky to watch for shooting stars. It is the most defining moment of Confini, condensing its communal soul and the desire to be together until morning.

A free and sustainable event

Confini Fest maintains free admission, consistent with its participatory and popular nature. Sustainability is an integral part of the project: the organization focuses on a plastic-free event, with reusable cups and logistics designed to reduce waste. In Corsano, the festival is now a recognized fixture of the Salento summer season, capable of attracting audiences from all over Puglia and beyond.
