The Pro Loco Festival of the Chivasso Hills
Colline in Festa is the Pro Loco festival of the Chivasso hills, a traveling event that changes host municipality each year, bringing the flavors and traditions of the entire territory into one village. The event brings together a dozen Pro Loco associations from towns between eastern Turin and the Asti border: Brusasco, Cavagnolo, Lauriano, Monteu da Po, Casalborgone, Castagneto Po, Marcorengo, Moransengo, San Sebastiano da Po, Verrua Savoia, and surrounding areas. Founded in 2014, the initiative has grown year after year to become one of the most anticipated spring-summer events in the Chivasso hills, in the Province of Turin and the Piedmont region.
The common thread of the festival is local gastronomy: each Pro Loco sets up its own stand, offering specialties typical of its municipality, ranging from traditional Piedmontese first courses to grilled meats, desserts, and local hill wines. Visitors can embark on a true culinary journey through a dozen towns without ever leaving the host village.
Alongside the food, the program features live music, dance evenings, entertainment for children and families, games, market stalls, and animation. The atmosphere is that of a convivial Piedmontese village fair, with the direct involvement of Pro Loco volunteers and local musical bands, such as the Philharmonic that has opened the most recent editions.
Colline in Festa is much more than a food festival: it is a meeting point that enhances collaboration between the small municipalities of the Chivasso hills and connects the many Pro Loco associations in the area. Over the years, the event has also attracted notable guests linked to the region, helping to promote this corner of Piedmont beyond provincial borders.
The venue changes every year, rotating among the participating municipalities: recent editions have been held in Cavagnolo and San Sebastiano da Po, while the Municipality of Brusasco, with the hamlet of Marcorengo, is among the historic protagonists of the event. To find out the host municipality and the dates of the current edition, it is advisable to consult the official channels of the Chivasso hills Pro Loco associations and the event calendar of the Pro Loco of Marcorengo.
The new edition of Colline in Festa is announced in the 2026 event calendar of the Pro Loco of Marcorengo. As every year, the Pro Loco festival will gather in a single village of the Chivasso hills the food stalls of a dozen municipalities, along with live music, games, and entertainment for all ages.
At the moment, the host municipality and the detailed program for the 2026 edition have not yet been officially published. The indicated dates should be confirmed on the channels of the Chivasso hills Pro Loco associations: it is recommended to verify them before planning your visit.
The Chivasso hills can be reached by car via the A4 Turin-Milan motorway (Chivasso exit) or the SS590 of the Valle Cerrina. By train, the reference station is Brusasco-Cavagnolo on the Turin-Casale Monferrato line. The festival venue changes annually among the participating municipalities.
Admission to the event is free. Consumption at the Pro Loco food stalls is paid according to the displayed price lists. It is recommended to arrive early in the evening when attendance is highest.
Check the host municipality, dates, and program on the official channels of the Chivasso hills Pro Loco associations and the Pro Loco of Marcorengo website before setting off.
