About Colle Truffle Festival

In Colle San Magno, a mountain village in the province of Frosinone, truffles harvested in the woods of Monte Asprano take center stage at a food and wine festival that brings Piazza Umberto I to life. With food stalls, traditional dishes featuring the prized fungus, and live music, the Colle Truffle Festival celebrates the town's signature product in an evening of taste, tradition, and conviviality, open to families and visitors alike.

A festival dedicated to the truffles of Colle San Magno

The Colle Truffle Festival is a food and wine celebration that brings the territory's most precious productโ€”the truffleโ€”to Piazza Umberto I in the historic center of Colle San Magno every summer. Situated at an altitude of about 550 meters in the province of Frosinone, Lazio, this small Ciociaria village is surrounded by forests where renowned truffles are gathered, long a source of pride and a characteristic product of the area. The festival was created to highlight this excellence and introduce it to visitors through local cuisine.

Food stalls and truffle-based dishes

The heart of the event lies in the food stalls set up in the square, where you can sample traditional dishes prepared with the prized fungus: pasta courses, tagliolini, and Ciociaria specialties reinterpreted with Colle truffles. The evening combines the discovery of authentic flavors with a festive atmosphere, featuring outdoor tables and the conviviality typical of village festivals.

Live music and festive atmosphere

The culinary offerings are complemented by live music, which accompanies the evening and turns Piazza Umberto I into a meeting point for residents and tourists. The festival is part of the rich summer calendar of Colle San Magno, filled with cultural events, religious traditions, and entertainment that enliven the village during July and August.

The village of Colle San Magno

Founded in the 11th century by the inhabitants of the nearby Castrum Coeli, whose castle stood on Monte Asprano, Colle San Magno preserves a charming medieval historic center with its civic tower, the Church of San Magno, and the Church of Santa Maria in Cielo. The town, whose patron saint is San Magno, offers visitors a fascinating setting of nature, history, and tradition. The Colle Truffle Festival is organized by the Municipality of Colle San Magno in collaboration with the Associazione Tre Torri 2022.
