The patronal autumn festival of Pianiga, with markets, tractors, and gastronomy
The Saint Martin's Festival is the patronal festival of Pianiga, a municipality in the Riviera del Brenta in the province of Venice. It is held every November around the feast day of Saint Martin (November 11th), one of the most beloved figures in Venetian popular tradition, and blends the religious dimension of the saint's feast with the convivial and gastronomic aspects of a village festival.
The heart of the festival is the markets in Piazza San Martino, with stalls offering artisan products, typical dishes, and gift ideas. Alongside food stands and street food, the festival features a local produce market and the captivating tractor exhibition by Coldiretti, an eagerly awaited event that attracts enthusiasts and families. Art exhibitions, music, and activities designed for children complete the program.
Organized by the Associazione San Martino together with the Parish of San Martino Vescovo and with the patronage of the Municipality of Pianiga, the festival is the event that closes the season of village festivals and accompanies the community towards winter, with its food and wine traditions and convivial spirit.
Located between Mirano and Dolo, along the ancient road to Venice, Pianiga is part of the Riviera del Brenta, famous for its Venetian villas overlooking the Naviglio canal. Saint Martin's Festival is an opportunity to discover this territory in its autumn colors.
The 2026 edition of the Saint Martin's Festival will again feature the patronal autumn festival of Pianiga, around the feast day of Saint Martin (November 11th). With markets in Piazza San Martino, a local produce market, a tractor exhibition by Coldiretti, art displays, music, food stands, street food, and activities for children, the festival will bring together the community of the Riviera del Brenta. The precise dates will be published by the Associazione San Martino closer to the event.
