As the days grow longer and the evenings turn mild, the Palainsieme Area in Bruino changes its look, becoming a grand cinema under the stars. Cinema under the Stars is the summer series of free screenings promoted by the Municipality of Bruino, a small town on the western outskirts of Turin, in Piedmont. It is the cinematic heart of the Summer Evenings, a program of initiatives that brings music, readings, and outdoor films to the town every year.

Six evenings for everyone

The formula is tried, tested, and deliberately simple: six screenings spread between mid-June and mid-July, one per week, always with free admission. The program alternates between the season's biggest hits, popular Italian comedies, and animated titles designed for younger audiences, ensuring there is something for every age group. The screen lights up at dusk, with the audience comfortably seated outdoors in the Palainsieme arena.

A community initiative

More than just a film series, Cinema under the Stars is a gathering point for Bruino: one of those occasions where the town comes together outdoors, among neighbors and families, to share a lighthearted evening. The organization is handled directly by the Municipal Administration, which integrates the screenings into a broader summer calendar that also includes concerts and literary meetings.

Where and when

All screenings are held at the Palainsieme Area, at Via San Rocco 10 in Bruino (Metropolitan City of Turin). Evenings usually start around 10:00 PM, at dusk. As this is a free outdoor event, simply bring a light jacket for cooler evenings and enjoy the film under the Piedmont sky.
