About Chocoland Vomero

Every autumn, Piazza degli Artisti transforms into the sweetest corner of Naples: Chocoland — The Land of Sweetness brings wooden stalls from master chocolatiers across Italy to the Vomero district. Chocolate bars, cremini, pralines, truffles, and traditional Campanian sweets are paired with children's workshops, live show-cooking, and the Chocolate Factory, all with free admission. An artisanal fair that has become one of the most anticipated events on the Neapolitan calendar.

Artisanal chocolate comes to the Vomero hill

Chocoland — The Land of Sweetness is a fair dedicated to artisanal chocolate and confectionery that takes over Piazza degli Artisti, in the heart of the hilly Naples district of Vomero, Campania. For a few days, the pedestrian area fills with the signature wooden huts of master chocolatiers, turning one of the city's busiest squares into an open-air tasting trail. The event is organized by the D2 Eventi association, which brings the Chocoland format to various squares across Central and Southern Italy, and the Vomero edition has become one of the most iconic in the circuit.

The master chocolatiers' stalls

The heart of the fair lies in the artisans' stands, arriving from several Italian regions: alongside producers from Campania, you will typically find chocolatiers from Puglia, Calabria, Sicily, and Lombardy, each with their own confectionery traditions. The result is a showcase that compares different schools and raw materials, from classic techniques to the latest experiments.

  • Artisanal chocolate bars, pralines, cremini, and truffles
  • "Naked" chocolate, molded creations, and cocoa-based objects
  • Cannoli, almond paste, and traditional regional sweets
  • Freshly made chocolate graffe, donuts, and waffles
  • Entirely edible artistic creations and cups

Workshops, show-cooking, and the Chocolate Factory

Chocoland is not just a shopping fair: a large part of the program is dedicated to demonstrations and education. Master chocolatiers perform live show-cooking, demonstrating tempering, pouring, and decorating, while workshops reserved for children — the so-called Chocolate Factory — allow the little ones to mold and decorate chocolate with their own hands. In recent editions, the children's workshop was presented as "Art Attack: Chocolate Factory," featuring modeling and decorating activities inside the wooden huts.

An event designed for families

A rich calendar of free entertainment has always revolved around the stands, making Chocoland a family-friendly event rather than just a food and wine fair: puppet theater, comedy and magic shows, language workshops, and mascots for children have accompanied various Vomero editions. Admission to the area, workshops, and show-cooking is traditionally free of charge, which explains the large turnout recorded in the square each time.

Why Vomero

Vomero is the quintessential hilly district of Naples: pedestrianized in its central part, served by the metro and three funiculars, it is the city's shopping hub. Piazza degli Artisti, recently redeveloped and pedestrianized, offers a compact and easily accessible urban space, ideal for a widespread event that thrives on strolling and sweet stops. The autumn timing — between late October and November in tracked editions — marks the start of the cold season, when chocolate returns to the center of Neapolitan habits.

A traveling format in Campania and beyond

Chocoland is not limited to Vomero: over the years, the fair has visited Piazza Municipio in Naples, Sorrento, Nocera Inferiore, Salerno, and other locations in Central and Southern Italy, maintaining the same formula of artisanal huts, workshops, and free admission everywhere. However, the Vomero event remains the most closely tied to neighborhood life, with the patronage of city institutions and the local Municipality.

Tips for your visit

  • Evenings and weekends are the busiest times: for a quieter visit, it is best to arrive in the morning
  • Many artisans sell gift boxes: it is a useful opportunity for holiday shopping
  • Children's workshops have limited spots and take place at specific times: it is best to inquire at the stand as soon as you arrive

Chocoland Vomero — edition 2026

As of July 28, 2026, the organizers have not yet announced the dates for the new Vomero edition of Chocoland — The Land of Sweetness. The event calendar has never been fixed: tracked editions in Piazza degli Artisti have taken place between late October and mid-November, with the last one from November 13 to 16, 2025. Dates and the program are usually communicated a few weeks in advance on the official website and D2 Eventi's social channels.

The 2026 edition of Chocoland Vomero has not yet been publicly scheduled. Based on previous editions, the event in Piazza degli Artisti, Naples, usually takes place in the autumn, between late October and mid-November, lasting four to six days.

If confirmed, the event will propose the established formula: wooden stalls from master chocolatiers from all over Italy, children's workshops at the Chocolate Factory, live show-cooking dedicated to cocoa processing, and free family entertainment. Historically, admission has always been free.

We recommend checking for updates on the chocolanditalia.it website and the Chocoland The Land of Sweetness social media pages: that is where dates, times, and the final program are published first.

Prices Chocoland Vomero 2026

In previous editions, admission to the exhibition area, workshops, and show-cooking has always been free of charge; purchases are made directly at the artisans' stalls. The conditions for the 2026 edition will be announced along with the dates.
