About Cetona in Fiore

For three days at the end of April, Cetona in Fiore transforms Piazza Garibaldi and the historic center of this Sienese village into a vast, fragrant, and colorful open-air garden. Nurserymen from Tuscany, Umbria, and across Italy showcase flowers, ornamental plants, and floral arrangements, while the village opens its most beautiful private gardens to the public. Featuring night walks, guided tours, workshops, and tastings of local products, it is one of the most beloved spring events in the Valdichiana Senese.

Cetona in Fiore: three days of color in the Sienese Valdichiana village

Cetona in Fiore is the major floral and nursery market exhibition that, every year in late April, turns the historic center of Cetonaโ€”a stunning village in the province of Siena bordering Umbriaโ€”into a true open-air garden. For three days, Piazza Garibaldi and the village streets are filled with flowers, plants, and scents, welcoming thousands of enthusiasts arriving from all over Tuscany and neighboring regions.

The plant and flower market exhibition

The heart of the event is the market exhibition set up in Piazza Garibaldi, where nurserymen offer spring blooms, ornamental plants, terrace and garden specimens, shrubs, trees, and floral arrangements of every kind. Alongside the plant exhibitors, there are also sections dedicated to home decor, crafts, and creativity, making these three days a perfect opportunity for open-air shopping in the heart of the village.

Private gardens, walks, and culture

Cetona in Fiore is more than just a plant market: the event opens to the public some of the most evocative private gardens of the historic center and the surrounding Cetona countryside, which are normally closed to visitors. The program includes night walks to discover the most hidden corners of the village, guided tours, workshops dedicated to greenery and raised vegetable beds, as well as meetings and conferences on botanical and naturalistic themes, such as those linked to the nearby Belverde Archaeological-Naturalistic Park.

A village to discover

The festival is organized by the Pro Loco of Cetona in collaboration with the Natural Shopping Center and with the patronage of the Municipality. During the three days, local restaurants, wine bars, and pizzerias offer themed menus, while visitors can explore art galleries, local artists' studios, and the beauty of one of the most fascinating villages in southern Tuscany. The coincidence with April 25th also makes the event an occasion to celebrate Liberation Day with institutional and musical moments in the square.
