The Bavarian beer festival in Cerratina, featuring a summer Oktoberfest vibe, street food, and live music.
The Cerratina Beer Fest is one of the most anticipated summer events in the municipality of Pianella, located in the heart of the Pescara province in Abruzzo. The festival takes place in the village of Cerratina, turning the central Piazza del Soleโalso known as Piazza Che Guevaraโinto a vibrant beer village inspired by Bavarian traditions, essentially a summer version of Oktoberfest.
The star of the show is German beer, carefully selected from the finest breweries across the Alps and served on tap throughout the evenings. It is paired with a diverse culinary offering that blends traditional Abruzzese flavors with classic beer-festival street food. Organizers encourage guests to fully immerse themselves in the festival spirit by wearing traditional Bavarian costumes, adding to the authentic Oktoberfest atmosphere.
Every evening from 8:00 PM, the square comes alive with live music and entertainment, featuring bands performing the best Italian and international rock-pop hits. The winning formula, refined year after year, combines conviviality, great beer, and live performances, creating a festive environment that appeals to families, young people, and enthusiasts alike.
The Cerratina Beer Fest is organized by A.S.D. Vis Cerratina in collaboration with the Cerratina Ovunque association, both of which are deeply rooted in the local community. What began as a small village festival has grown into a signature summer event in Cerratina, officially recognized in the Pianella municipal calendar. The festival serves as a vital social hub, attracting visitors from neighboring towns in the Pescara province and beyond.
Cerratina is a village within the municipality of Pianella, a hillside town in the province of Pescara overlooking the Tavo River valley, an area renowned for its olive oil and wine production. During the Cerratina Beer Fest, the small town center becomes the heart of the community, offering visitors a chance to discover an authentic corner of the Abruzzo hinterland through food, music, and celebration.
The Cerratina Beer Fest 2026 will take place from Saturday, July 11, to Monday, July 13, 2026, in the village of Cerratina, Pianella (PE), in Abruzzo. These dates are confirmed by the official summer events calendar of the Municipality of Pianella.
As in previous years, the festival will animate Piazza del Sole (Piazza Che Guevara) with selected German beers, food stands, and live music for three nights starting at 8:00 PM. The event is organized by A.S.D. Vis Cerratina in partnership with Cerratina Ovunque.
The full program for the 2026 edition, including band names and nightly schedules, has not yet been released; it will be shared by the organizers in the weeks preceding the event via the official Facebook page and municipal channels.
