Returned to the city after an extensive restoration and entrusted to a consortium formed by CoopCulture and the Linea d'Arte cooperative, the Casale is now a space for participatory urban regeneration: a place where cultural programming serves as a tool for community building rather than mere entertainment.
The festival runs throughout the season, from May until the end of July, taking place primarily in the Casale garden, which is set up as an intimate open-air stage. The theme chosen for the 2026 edition, Culture builds community, perfectly encapsulates the approach: live music, public debate, visual arts, and conviviality.
Music: Jazz in the spotlight
The heart of the program is live music, with a special focus on jazz—a genre that has been a staple at the Casale since its early seasons thanks to a collaboration with the jazz department of the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia. The 2026 summer season at Casale dei Cedrati runs from May 3rd to July 30th, culminating in July when the garden becomes a small open-air stage every week. The guiding theme this year is 'Culture builds community': musical programming is intertwined with public meetings, exhibitions, and convivial moments, in continuity with the Casale's participatory vocation.
Concerts are concentrated on Thursday and Saturday evenings, starting around 9:30 PM and lasting about two hours, featuring a lineup that alternates between the Roman jazz scene and international guests. Alongside the music, a photography exhibition dedicated to the nature of Northern Europe will accompany the public throughout the festival.

Opening meeting
- Tuesday, July 7th, 6:30 PM — 'Culture builds community. Culture, participation, and democracy 80 years after the Constitution': a dialogue with writer Dacia Maraini, publisher and essayist Francesco Giubilei, and legal expert Gregorio Arena, moderated by journalist Monica Mondo. Followed by a community pasta dinner prepared with herbs from the Casale.

- July 2nd — Tarenzi-Marciano-Floris-Zizza-Mangiocavallo 5et: piano, alto sax, guitar, double bass, and drums.
- July 9th — Tarenzi-Zizza-Cerfeda Trio, with Roberto Tarenzi on piano, Pierpaolo Zizza on double bass, and Antonio Cerfeda on drums.
- July 16th — Lorenzo Simoni 4et with American trumpeter Jason Palmer, professor at the Berklee College of Music.
- July 18th — 'A qualcuno piace Rino', a tribute band dedicated to singer-songwriter Rino Gaetano.
Exhibition
- Until July 31st — 'On the wings of the great North', a photography exhibition by naturalist Giampiero Fumel dedicated to the ecosystems of Finland, Norway, and Iceland, supported by the Embassy of Finland.

Getting there
- Bus: Urban lines along Via Aurelia Antica and Via Leone XIII, with stops a few minutes' walk from the park entrances.

Tips
