A republic of music in the Marche Apennines

The Catria Republik Festival is one of the most characteristic musical events in the Marche hinterland. It takes place in Cantiano, in the heart of the Province of Pesaro and Urbino, in the spaces of the Rifugio del Birrificio del Catria, at the foot of the mountain of the same name that dominates this northern corner of the Apennines. More than just a sequence of concerts, the festival offers a shared experience: the public travels through the territory, reaches the refuge, and chooses to inhabit, even for just a few hours, a temporary community made of music, nature, and conviviality.

Five days, five sonic souls

The 2026 edition, the fifth of the event, has expanded the project to five days, each with its own well-defined musical identity. The sonic journey has explored different and complementary genres:

• Blues, the deep and warm root of popular music;
• Metal, with its powerful and direct energy;
• Rock, the historical soul of the festival from its origins;
• Electronic, for more contemporary and nocturnal evenings;
• Folk, in dialogue with traditions and the mountain landscape.

This staged formula allows every enthusiast to choose the evening that best suits their tastes, or to experience the entire week as a journey through the different languages of live music.

From the summit to the refuge

The connection with Monte Catria is an integral part of the festival's identity. Many participants reach the refuge after excursions and hikes on the Apennine trails, combining their passion for the outdoors with their love for concerts. The event was indeed born and grew within a network of initiatives dedicated to nature, music, and entertainment, of which the Birrificio del Catria is the reference point for those seeking music, the Apennines, and authentic conviviality.

Artisanal beer and local cuisine

The days of Catria Republik are accompanied by the artisanal beer from Birrificio del Catria and numerous gastronomic offerings designed to welcome those who choose to spend hours or entire evenings at the refuge. The cuisine highlights the products and flavors of the Marche hinterland, completing the musical offering with a well-rounded convivial experience.
