The premier rally challenge of the Val d'Era, part of the 7th Zone Rally Cup
The Casciana Terme Rally is a staple of the Tuscan rally calendar and one of the most beloved sporting events in the Casciana Terme Lari area, in the province of Pisa. Every year, in early September, the hilly roads of Val d'Era and the Pisan hills are closed to traffic to welcome dozens of crews competing on timed special stages, navigating blind corners, climbs, and technical sections that thrill both drivers and spectators alike.
The event is a qualifying round for the 7th Zone Rally Cup (Coppa Rally di 7ยช Zona) by ACI Sport, the championship covering Tuscany and surrounding areas. In recent years, the rally has gained significant prestige, drawing top-tier names from the national scene and an increasing number of entries. Organized by the Laserprom 015 racing team with the support of the Automobile Club Pisa and the local municipalities, the race spans not only Casciana Terme Lari but also neighboring towns such as Pontedera, Chianni, Castellina Marittima, Montecatini Val di Cecina, and Riparbella.
The charm of the Casciana Terme Rally lies in its timed sections, which have become etched in the memories of enthusiasts:
Running alongside the modern competition is the Casciana Terme Rally Historic, reserved for classic racing cars: a journey through time featuring vehicles that shaped motorsport history, capable of delivering just as much excitement as their modern counterparts.
More than just a race, the rally is a true community festival for the Tuscan rally scene: the town of Casciana Terme, famous for its thermal waters, comes alive with stands, service parks, food stalls, and thousands of fans lining the special stages. The start and finish, hosted in the town squares, are spectacular moments that blend sport, tradition, and local identity.
The 44th edition of the Casciana Terme Rally and the 3rd Rally Historic will take place on September 6, 2026, confirming the early September date in the 7th Zone Rally Cup ACI Sport calendar.
The 2026 edition will return to the tracks that have made the race's history, among the hills of Casciana Terme Lari and the neighboring municipalities in the province of Pisa, featuring iconic special stages such as Montevaso and Miemo. Organization is once again entrusted to the Laserprom 015 team in collaboration with the Automobile Club Pisa.
The detailed program with special stage times, the final route, and the entry list will be announced by the organizer in the weeks preceding the race. For official updates, check the Laserprom 015 website.
The detailed program for the 44th edition (special stage times, final route, entry list, start and finish) will be published by the organizer Laserprom 015 in the weeks leading up to the race on September 6, 2026.

The legendary Montevaso and Miemo special stages, the modern race valid for the 7th Zone Rally Cup, and the Rally Historic dedicated to classic cars, with start and finish in the center of Casciana Terme.
Casciana Terme Lari can be reached by car via the FI-PI-LI expressway (Pontedera exit) or the SS439 Sarzanese-Valdera road. The nearest train station is Pontedera-Casciana Terme, on the Florence-Pisa line.
The special stages take place on roads closed to traffic throughout the Val d'Era municipalities. Authorized spectator times and locations are published on the official website of the organizer, Laserprom 015, in the days leading up to the race. The start and finish are located in the center of Casciana Terme.
