The medieval alleys of Dolceacqua dress up in flowers
Carugi in Fiore is the spring event that colors the medieval alleys of Dolceacqua, a village in the Val Nervia in the province of Imperia famous for its humpback bridge and the Doria Castle, also immortalized by Claude Monet. For two days, the historic center transforms into a path of flowers and culture.
The event blends different aspects: floral arrangements and flower carpets that adorn the alleys, organic, craft, and antique markets, live music in the squares, book presentations, and art exhibitions hosted in the historic buildings of the village. A widespread program that invites you to get lost in the alleys of the village.
Carugi in Fiore enhances one of the most evocative villages in Liguria, already included among the excellence destinations of the Imperia hinterland. The setting of the historic center, with its stone houses, arches, and views of the Nervia river, serves as a natural stage for an event that combines nature and creativity.
A few kilometers from the coast, Dolceacqua and Carugi in Fiore offer visitors the opportunity to discover a different side of the Ligurian Ponente, made up of villages, Rossese wine, and terraced landscapes. Spring, with its blooms, is the ideal time to visit.
On April 25 and 26, 2026, the historic center of Dolceacqua hosts Carugi in Fiore. Floral arrangements, organic, craft, and antique markets, music, and cultural events wind through the medieval alleys of the village.
Among the scheduled events are the performance of the Florelia Banda Folk in Piazza Mauro, two book presentations, and the art exhibition "Franco Giglio from Dolceacqua to Brazil," set up at Palazzo Luigina Garoscio. All initiatives have free admission.
Dolceacqua can be reached from the Ventimiglia or Bordighera exit of the A10 motorway, heading up the Val Nervia. The historic center is pedestrianized: park in the areas outside the village.
Free admission event; exhibitions and presentations are free.
