The historic center lights up until late night with music, shopping, and flavors
After a full seven years of absence, the Carpi White Night has returned to light up the historic center of the Municipality in the province of Modena, in the heart of Emilia-Romagna. The 2026 edition, scheduled for Saturday, June 6th, also marked the official debut of the LaCarpiEstate season, a calendar of events spanning almost five months under the slogan "A beehive of events".
For one evening, from 6:00 PM until late at night, Carpi's historic center becomes a large space for widespread celebration. The initiatives involve the entire central area: from Piazzale Ramazzini to Corso Roma, from Piazza Garibaldi to Corso Alberto Pio, passing through the monumental Piazza dei Martiri, the Theater Gardens, all of Corso Fanti up to Piazzale Marconi, and Corso Cabassi up to Piazzale Dante. A circuit that embraces the city's urban living room, with its famous arcaded square, one of the largest in Italy.
The common thread of the evening is diffused music: DJ sets and live acoustic performances alternate in the main squares and along the streets, creating a soundscape that accompanies the public from one corner of the center to another. Alongside music, the White Night is also a celebration of commerce: shops extend their hours for night shopping with dedicated promotions, while bars and restaurants expand their outdoor seating with themed menus and side events.
Organized in close synergy with the merchants' association CarpiLab and with the patronage of the Municipality of Carpi, the White Night was created with the aim of making the historic center and other city districts more vibrant and attractive, for Carpi residents and visitors alike. A convivial occasion that opens the summer and brings back a much-anticipated tradition to the squares after years of pause.
The 2026 edition marked the much-anticipated return of the White Night to Carpi, the first event of the LaCarpiEstate program. For the first time, the organization was handled by CarpiLab, the merchants' association, in collaboration with the Municipality. Mayor Riccardo Righi emphasized that the return of the White Night represents "a great opportunity to experience our historic center".
The evening involved the entire center with live music and DJ sets in the squares, food and stalls along the streets, and night shopping with shops open until late. Among the musical offerings was the performance by the band Buscadero in Piazza Garibaldi.
The White Night unfolds as a path of diffused music throughout the historic center, with DJ sets and live acoustic performances in the main squares and along the streets.
The event is free and open to all. Traffic restrictions are in effect in the historic center during the evening.
