Masks and merriment in the village of Val Brembana
In Camerata Cornello, a municipality in the Val Brembana in the province of Bergamo, Carnival is experienced with the traditional masked parade. An event eagerly awaited, especially by the little ones, which colors the village in the heart of winter with its festive procession.
The parade crosses the village streets amidst confetti, masks, and merriment, involving children and families in a day of fun. It's the valley version of Carnival: no spectacular floats, but an authentic and participatory celebration, expressing the community spirit of a small mountain municipality.
Camerata Cornello is famous for housing the medieval village of Cornello dei Tasso, a jewel of the Val Brembana linked to the history of the Tasso family and European postal services. The Carnival parade is also an opportunity to experience the village in a festive guise, discovering a corner of Lombardy rich in history and tradition.
The 2026 edition of the Camerata Cornello Carnival parade takes place on Sunday, February 22. The masked procession winds through the village streets amidst confetti, costumes, and merriment, in a day of celebration dedicated especially to the little ones. The event is confirmed by the Camerata Cornello Municipality's event calendar.
