A celebration for all ages

The heart of the event beats between the Sala della Casa del Popolo in Piazza Matteotti, the Teatro Boito, and the #PostAzione social bar, with the famous Greve square serving as an open-air stage. The program alternates between creative moments and spectacular shows: workshops to build original masks, baby dance sessions, yoga, percussion performances by the Greve School of Music, entertainment with clowns, jugglers, and illusionists, and the unmissable masked parades led by the Tarumba association. Throughout the days, there is no shortage of delicious snacks to delight both adults and children.

A Carnival that embraces the hamlets

The strength of this Carnival lies in its widespread presence across the territory: beyond the main town, the festival also involves the local hamlets. In Strada in Chianti, the "Maschere per strada" (Masks on the Street) event returns, organized by the local Pro Loco, featuring a parade, a mask competition, musical entertainment, and a Nutella party between the civic center and the market square. In San Polo in Chianti, the celebration brings costume-themed snacks, schiacciata alla fiorentina, hot chocolate, mulled wine, games, and parades to the school square, thanks to the efforts of the Associazione Montessori Chianti.
