The "next gen" extension of the Carini Jazz Festival dedicated to young jazz talents
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Carini Jazz Festival Reloaded is the younger, more experimental soul of the Carini Jazz Festival, the annual summer event that transforms Carini, a town in the Metropolitan City of Palermo, into a vibrant hub for Sicilian jazz. While the main festival hosts established names from the national and international scene, the "Reloaded" editionโheld about a week laterโis designed as a next gen showcase: the stage and the audience are offered to emerging Italian and international jazz talents in a dialogue between generations and musical languages.
The strength of Reloaded lies in its choice of venues. The evenings unfold across three iconic local landmarks: the Castle of Carini (Castello La Grua Talamanca), steeped in history and legend; the intimate Cloister of the Former Carmelite Convent in the center of Carini; and the evocative Cala Cala beach in Isola delle Femmine, where music meets the sea at sunset. An itinerant format that invites you to discover lesser-known historical sites and coastal landscapes in the province of Palermo.
Reloaded is more than just a series of concerts: the organizers envision it as a true creative laboratory where music intertwines with exhibitions, meetings, and discussions, creating synergies between culture, tourism, and local food and wine. It is a way to tell the story of Sicily through the new voices of jazz, while simultaneously enhancing the historical and natural heritage of Carini and Isola delle Femmine.
The festival is produced by the Jonathan Livingston O.D.V. association, under the artistic direction of maestro Toti Cannistraro, who oversees the entire Carini Jazz Festival project and its Reloaded extension. Tickets are priced symbolically, designed to make live music accessible to everyone and to build a new audience for jazz.
The 2026 edition of the Carini Jazz Festival Reloaded does not yet have official dates. Based on previous editions, the "next gen" event is usually held in early August, about a week after the main Carini Jazz Festival, featuring three evenings dedicated to emerging jazz talents between the Castle of Carini, the Carmelite Cloister, and Cala Cala in Isola delle Femmine.
The detailed program and the artists for the 2026 edition will be announced by the organizers on the official website and the festival's channels. It is recommended to check for updated information before planning your visit.
The evenings take place at three venues in the province of Palermo: the Castle of Carini, the Cloister of the Former Carmelite Convent (Carini), and the beach of Cala Cala (Isola delle Femmine).
Carini can be reached by car via the A29 Palermo-Mazara del Vallo motorway (Carini exit) and by train on the regional Palermo-Trapani line, getting off at Carini station. The nearest airport is Palermo-Punta Raisi, just a few kilometers away.
For the 2025 edition, tickets were 5 euros per evening. Information and advance sales are available on the official festival website.
