Four nights of beer, gastronomy, and live music in the Alto Casertano region
Every summer, the small town of Capriati a Volturno, nestled along the banks of the Volturno River at the foot of the Matese massif, becomes a gathering point for those seeking open-air festivities in the Alto Casertano region. The Beer Festival is a popular event that fills the town with people, aromas, and music for four consecutive nights, cementing its status as one of the most attended summer events in this corner of the province of Caserta, in Campania.
The heart of the festival is, of course, the draft beer, served at numerous stalls alongside a rich gastronomic menu. The stands offer local dishes and specialties designed to pair perfectly with your pint: fried foods, sandwiches, grilled meats, and street food options that turn every evening into a convivial dining experience. The format follows the classic tradition of local summer festivals, where you eat and drink in good company, with affordable prices and an informal atmosphere.
Alongside the food stalls, a packed schedule of musical entertainment keeps the party going until late every night. Live concerts, bands, and performances alternate with DJ sets, turning the square into a dance floor under the stars. It is this combination of good beer, authentic food, and music that makes the event beloved not only by the residents of Capriati a Volturno but also by visitors from neighboring towns and the villages of the Matese.
Capriati a Volturno is a small town of just over 1,500 inhabitants, located at the northern edge of the province of Caserta, a short distance from the border with Molise. Immersed in a landscape of hills and mountains crossed by the Volturno River, the village offers visitors the ideal setting for an authentic summer festival, far from the major tourist circuits. Attending the Beer Festival also means discovering an authentic territory in the Campanian hinterland, defined by nature, traditions, and hospitality.
With free admission and a family-friendly setting, the Capriati a Volturno Beer Festival appeals to audiences of all ages. The August evenings, when the weather invites you to stay out until late, are the perfect occasion to meet up with friends, enjoy a cold beer, and get swept up in the music at one of the most cherished festivals of the Caserta summer.
The Beer Festival returns to Capriati a Volturno for the 2026 edition, scheduled from Thursday, August 6, to Sunday, August 9. Four festive evenings in the heart of the Alto Casertano, featuring draft beers, food stalls with local specialties, and a packed program of musical entertainment alternating between live concerts and DJ sets. Admission is free, and the event is suitable for families and visitors of all ages.
The festival is held in Capriati a Volturno (Postal Code 81014), in the province of Caserta, Campania, in the Alto Casertano area at the foot of the Matese.
By car, the town can be reached via the SS158 Valle del Volturno state road; from Naples, it is about 70 km heading north, and from Caserta about 45 km heading north-west. The nearest railway stations are located in the neighboring towns of the Volturno Valley.
Admission to the event is free. Beer and food can be purchased directly at the stalls at affordable prices.
The event takes place outdoors in the evening: comfortable clothing is recommended. For updated schedules and programs, it is best to check the official Facebook page of the event.
