The Canzano Motorcycle Rally is one of the most deep-rooted motorcycling events in the Teramo hinterland. Organized by the Motoclub Felice Pietrinferni, a historic association with over forty years of activity, the rally brings the small town of Canzano, in the province of Teramo, to life every year in the heart of Abruzzo. The event attracts riders from across the region and neighboring provinces, united by their shared passion for two wheels and the area's scenic roads.

A tradition born in 1989

The roots of the rally date back to 1989, the year of the first National Vintage Motorcycle Rally in Canzano, dedicated to historic bikes. Since then, the event has grown edition after edition, evolving into a Regional Motorcycle Rally open to all types of bikes, from the most modern to vintage models. The Motoclub Felice Pietrinferni has successfully kept this tradition alive, making it a staple of the Abruzzo motorcycle tourism calendar.

A typical day

The event takes place over a single day, with gathering and registration in Piazza Risorgimento, in the center of Canzano. After a welcome breakfast and the distribution of a souvenir gadget, participants set off for a motorcycle ride along the Teramo hills, a route offering stunning views that span from the Adriatic Sea to the Gran Sasso mountain range. The day concludes with a convivial lunch, a moment of socializing and friendship that has always characterized the rally.

A club, a territory

Beyond the main rally, the Motoclub Felice Pietrinferni organizes various events throughout the year, including the traditional spring Motorcycle Blessing at the Sanctuary of San Gabriele in Isola del Gran Sasso d'Italia. The association also promotes the Abruzzo region through the Regional Tourism Trophy of the Italian Motorcycle Federation, showcasing the roads and landscapes of the province of Teramo. The Canzano Motorcycle Rally remains the flagship event, perfectly blending a passion for motorcycling with the pleasure of discovering the Abruzzo hinterland.
