The guitar festival that brings Cantiano back to life through music
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
In the summer of 2026, the Municipality of Cantiano, a mountain village in the hinterland of the Province of Pesaro and Urbino at the foot of Monte Catria, hosts the first edition of Cantiano in Musica - Festival della Chitarra. The event brings the great guitar tradition to one of the most authentic territories of the Marche, transforming the historic centre into a widespread stage where the six strings become the absolute protagonists.
The programme is divided into four events held in two of the most beautiful locations in the village. Two evenings take place in July in the setting of the Ducal Palace, while two evenings are held in August inside the Corpus Domini church, a space with intimate acoustics and strong symbolic value. The opening concert is entrusted to the Masini-Costantino duo, a formation that offers a repertoire capable of making classical guitar dialogue with more contemporary sounds.
Cantiano in Musica is born from the collaboration of several local entities: the Municipality of Cantiano, the Birrificio del Catria (Catria Brewery), Ventinque Srls by Luciano Arcangeli, and the Catria Republik Festival, which share stages, artists, and a community spirit. The stated goal is to unite auteur guitar music with the vibrant independent music scene of the Marche, creating a festival with a broad scope but deeply rooted in the town.
The festival also takes on a meaning that goes beyond music: Cantiano is the village severely affected by the flood of September 2022, and this new event is proposed as an occasion for rebirth, choosing music as a symbol of restarting and hope for the entire community.
Nestled along the ancient Via Flaminia, Cantiano is a village in the Marche region famous for its traditions, from the Holy Friday Turba to the mountain culture of Monte Catria. The creation of a festival dedicated to the guitar enriches an already busy summer calendar, offering residents and visitors the opportunity to discover the village through music, in a dialogue between historical heritage, Apennine landscape, and new creativity.
As this is the first edition, the exact dates of the individual evenings have not yet been released in detail at the time of publication of this profile. It is advisable to follow the channels of the Municipality of Cantiano and the promoters to find out the definitive schedule, guest artists, and how to access the concerts.
