Beyond the boundaries of music
The Gubbio Oltre Festival was born from a precise idea: to go beyond the boundaries of genre, stereotypes, and categories. It is not a festival dedicated to a single musical language, but a space where classical, jazz, pop, rock, and blues coexist and confront each other, seeking contaminations rather than separations. Artists from different horizons share stages and projects, putting their own repertoire in dialogue with that of others.
Concerts, masterclasses, and meetings
The event alternates major evening concerts with rich educational activities, including masterclasses held by international-level masters, meetings, and exhibitions. The 'Tomorrow's new talents' section brings student concerts to the cloisters, small squares, and courtyards of the historic centre.
A city as a stage
The locations are an integral part of the show: the cloister of San Pietro, Piazza Giordano Bruno, and the historic spaces of Gubbio become natural stages for music. The festival thus enhances the heritage of the Umbrian village, in the province of Perugia, merging art and architecture.
Oltre Festival — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Gubbio Oltre Festival, scheduled from July 16 to August 2, confirms its formula of cross-genre contamination. Alongside major evening concerts in the cloister of San Pietro and the squares of the historic centre, the festival offers masterclasses with international masters and the widespread event 'Tomorrow's new talents,' featuring student concerts in the cloisters and courtyards of Gubbio, in the province of Perugia.
Programme Oltre Festival 2026
Based on the announced program, the 2026 edition includes, among other things:
- July 20 — special masterclass with John Patitucci, a world icon of the bass;
- July 21 — opening concert 'Un bel dì vedremo... Puccini in Jazz' with Andrea Tofanelli and Riccardo Arrighini, in the cloister of San Pietro;
- July 25 — 'Abbrassiamoci!', a show dedicated to brass instruments with the ensemble directed by David Short, together with teachers and students from the masterclasses;
- July 24 to 30 — widespread event 'Tomorrow's new talents,' concerts by students in the cloisters, small squares, and courtyards of the historic centre;
- August 1 — 'Blending the Unconventional' with Walter Calloni, Gianmarco Scaglia, and Simone Gubbiotti.

Gubbio can be reached by car via the E45 or by bus from Perugia and Fossato di Vico. Concerts take place in various locations in the historic centre, reachable on foot.
