The Caldi, Ruzza, Lucchetti Memorial is the 7-a-side football tournament that brings the village of Arpiola to life every summer. Located in the municipality of Mulazzo, in the province of Massa-Carrara, it sits in the heart of the Tuscan Lunigiana. Founded in 2016, the event is dedicated to the memory of Gianni Caldi, Roberto Ruzza, and Gianluca Lucchetti, three individuals who left a lasting mark on the history and development of the ASD Mulazzo club and the local sporting community.
More than just a competition, the Memorial has become a staple of the Lunigiana summer over the years: over a month of evening matches, cheering, fun, and social connection that brings together teams, families, and fans at the A.N.S.P.I. "San Giuseppe" Youth Center Park sports field.
Tournament Format
The formula is well-established and highly popular: the tournament hosts sixteen teams, with squads of up to fourteen players each. The teams are divided into round-robin groups and face off throughout the summer evenings, leading up to the highly anticipated finals that determine the title and prizes.

The 2026 edition of the Caldi, Ruzza, Lucchetti Memorial is scheduled from June 22 to July 31, 2026, at the San Giuseppe Park Sports Field in Arpiola di Mulazzo. This marks the tenth edition of an event now deeply rooted in the Lunigiana summer.
As per tradition, the tournament brings together sixteen teams divided into groups, with evening matches leading up to the finals at the end of July. The evenings are accompanied by the food stand that makes the sports field a meeting point for the entire community.
