An open-air museum among the vineyards

Scultori a Brufa is one of the longest-running public art projects in Umbria. Born in 1987 on the initiative of the Pro Loco of Brufa (local tourism board) in collaboration with the Municipality of Torgiano, it invites an artist each year to create a work that remains permanently along the crest of the hill and in the village of Brufa, a hamlet of Torgiano in the province of Perugia.

The road of wine and art

Edition after edition, the sculptures have multiplied, giving life to a true widespread Sculpture Park, open to visitors all year round. The common thread is the dialogue between contemporary sculpture and the agricultural landscape shaped over centuries by the cultivation of vines and olives: each work relates to the rows of vines, the fields, and the views of the valley, on what has been dubbed 'the road of wine and art'.

The inauguration of the new sculpture in the summer is the central moment of Brufa in Festa, the event that accompanies the artistic project with concerts, solo exhibitions by the invited artist, presentations of critical catalogues, and festive moments in the village squares. An opportunity to discover Brufa, its landscape, and its wines, through an artistic lens.
