The artisan gelato festival that has enlivened the Corso of Brolo for over twenty years
The Brolo Artisan Gelato Gala is one of the most beloved and long-running summer events in Brolo, a seaside town in the province of Messina, Sicily. For over twenty years, in the heart of summer, Corso Vittorio Emanuele is closed to traffic and transformed into a wide pedestrian area where local master gelato makers set up their artisan gelato stands.
Along the main street, visitors can sample dozens of flavors, from great classics to the most creative offerings, the result of research, technique, and passion. The event was created to showcase one of the territory's finest products and has grown over the years to become a benchmark for gelato lovers throughout the Tyrrhenian side of Sicily.
The event is sponsored and supported by the Regional Department of Agriculture of the Sicilian Region, confirming the promotional value it holds for the Municipality of Brolo and the entire Nebrodi area.
Strolling through the stands on the Corso, gelato in hand, is the best way to experience the summer atmosphere of Brolo, amidst the scent of the sea and the warmth of Sicilian hospitality.
Dominated by the evocative tower of its medieval castle, Brolo is one of the most popular seaside destinations on the Tyrrhenian side of Messina. The Gelato Gala is part of a rich calendar of summer events that enlivens the town from June until autumn, making it an ideal stop for those seeking sea, culture, and good food.
The 23rd edition of the Brolo Artisan Gelato Gala returns on the weekend of July 25 and 26, 2026, on Corso Vittorio Emanuele in Brolo (ME). The winning formula combining local master gelato makers' stands with a program of evening shows is confirmed. The musical guest for this edition is Silvia Salemi, a well-known voice of Italian music. The event ideally opens the season of major concerts of the Brolo Summer 2026, which will continue in August with the Brolo Jazz Festival and live performances by Fred De Palma and The Kolors on the seafront.
The detailed program of side events (conferences, show cooking, exhibitions) will be released by the Municipality of Brolo in the days leading up to the event.
Corso Vittorio Emanuele, in the center of Brolo (ME), transformed into a pedestrian area for the occasion.
By car: A20 Messina-Palermo motorway, Brolo exit. By train: Brolo-Ficarra station on the Messina-Palermo Tyrrhenian line.
The event takes place in the second half of July, in the evening (stands open from 7:00 PM).
Access to the Corso and the shows is free. Gelato tastings are paid for at individual stands.
