Four evenings of craft beer, Campanian street food, and live music in Piazza 5 Maggio 1998
Brew Fest Italia is the signature event dedicated to craft beer, street food, and live music that chose Sarno, in the province of Salerno, for one of its Campanian stops in May 2026. From May 21 to 24, 2026, Piazza 5 Maggio 1998, in the heart of the city, became a gourmet village open every evening from 6:00 PM until 1:00 or 2:00 AM, with completely free admission.
The event, presented to the press in the Palazzo San Francesco hall, was held under the patronage of the Municipality of Sarno and Sarno Servizi Integrati, which supported a young, modern format focused on taste and conviviality. This initiative brought the city center back to the heart of nightlife, restoring the square as a meeting place for the entire community.
The gastronomic core of the Brew Fest is entrusted to twenty-five stalls covering the entire repertoire of Campanian street food: pizza, sandwiches, meat specialties, fried treats, desserts, and creative offerings. Alongside the food, ten beer stations with twenty taps offer a selection of craft and industrial labels—light, amber, and special—served in tasting glasses.
The formula follows the typical Southern Italian beer festival style: you stroll among the stalls, curate your own dinner by moving from one counter to another, and enjoy a draft beer while listening to music, with no entry fee or reservations required.
The musical program features four live concerts over the four evenings, all starting at 9:30 PM, along with eight DJ sets. The artistic direction alternates between Neapolitan beats, classic local songwriting, and great Italian rock tribute bands, with a focus on sing-along music. After the live performances, the square continues with DJs until the stalls close.
Brew Fest Italia is not just for young people: the presence of a kids' area and free admission made the event accessible to families, who crowded the square in the early evening before the concerts. The free-entry formula, where you only pay for what you consume, is one of the reasons for the public success recorded from the very first night, with attendees arriving from all over the Agro Nocerino-Sarnese area and beyond.
The Municipality of Sarno is located in the northeastern tip of the province of Salerno, in Campania, halfway between Naples and the provincial capital. It gives its name to the river that originates in its territory. It is one of the most populous centers of the Agro Nocerino-Sarnese, an area famous for its agriculture, San Marzano tomatoes, and a dense network of festivals and popular feasts that enliven the spring and summer.
In this context, Brew Fest Italia stands out as a contemporary urban event, complementing traditional local festivals: it does not celebrate a single typical product, but showcases the encounter between craft beer culture and Campanian street food in a city square easily reachable on foot by those living in the center.
Four consecutive days, free admission, a pedestrian square in the city center, a wide and recognizable food selection, and a stage that changes its vibe every night: Brew Fest Italia is a simple way to discover Sarno in the evening, in good company, without having to plan anything other than what time to show up. Those who arrive early find more space at the stalls; those who arrive after 9:30 PM experience the square at the peak of the music.

The festival area is Piazza 5 Maggio 1998, in the center of Sarno (ZIP 84087), province of Salerno. During the event evenings, the square is pedestrianized: it is advisable to park in the surrounding streets and reach the area on foot.
The stalls open from 6:00 PM and remain active until 1:00 or 2:00 AM. Admission is free on all evenings: you only pay for what you consume. Concerts start at 9:30 PM and are also free.
Weekend evenings are the busiest: to avoid queues at the stalls, it is best to arrive between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM. The kids' area makes the first part of the evening suitable for families with small children. Updates and news are published on the official Brew Fest Italia social media channels.
