Street food arrives in Borgo a Mozzano

In May 2026, a new event dedicated to street cuisine makes its debut in Borgo a Mozzano, in the charming Piazza Garibaldi: Borgo Gusto in Piazza. The event, organized by Gust'Aspasso Eventi, one of the most active players in the Tuscan street food scene, will bring the historic center of this town in the province of Lucca, overlooking the Media Valle del Serchio, to life for three days.

The initiative was created with the goal of showcasing the village, fostering social connection, and boosting local tourism and the economy, transforming the town's main square into a large open-air village of taste.

Food trucks, craft beers, and global flavors

The heart of the festival is a caravan of selected food trucks arriving from various Italian regions, bringing high-level culinary specialties to the square. From traditional street food to gourmet offerings and international flavors, there is something for every palate. Accompanying the dishes is a selection of excellent Italian craft beers.

All food trucks use exclusively certified compostable and biodegradable tableware, completely eliminating single-use plastic: a choice that makes Borgo Gusto in Piazza an environmentally conscious event, with dedicated waste sorting stations managed by staff to keep the square clean and tidy throughout the festival.

Music and family fun

In addition to the food, the event features music, rides, and inflatables for children, making Borgo Gusto in Piazza a perfect destination for families, groups of friends, and curious visitors. The convivial atmosphere, combined with extended hours until late at night, makes it one of the most pleasant spring occasions in the Garfagnana and Media Valle del Serchio area.
