Borgo e Gusto is the food and wine event that brings the historic center of Celenza sul Trigno to life at the beginning of summer. This medieval village is perched among the hills of the Chieti province in Abruzzo. For one evening, the alleys, stone arches, and small squares of the village turn into a long tasting trail, where visitors stroll from one station to the next, savoring the area's typical products.

A gourmet journey through medieval alleys

The format is that of an itinerant food and wine tour: starting from the main square, you climb up through the village streets, past stone houses and picturesque views. The stops feature the best of Abruzzo's rustic cuisine, including:

• artisanal local cured meats and cheeses;
• arrosticini, the iconic symbol of Abruzzo's culinary tradition;
• local wine and extra virgin olive oil;
• traditional village desserts.
