In the historic heart of the Lucanian capital, the evocative Piazza XI Settembre transforms for five days into a grand village of taste. It is Borgo dei Sapori, the food and wine event that in 2026 reaches its XII edition, confirming itself as one of the most cherished events of the Potenza spring, amidst the aromas of Lucanian cuisine, music, and entertainment.

Lucanian cuisine takes center stage

The heart of the festival are the gastronomic stands — seven dedicated to cuisine and one to pastry — that showcase the richness of Basilicata's culinary tradition. Alongside food, the event offers cultural presentations, music, and workshops for children, such as the one dedicated to handmade pasta, which introduces the little ones to the ancient gestures of home cooking.

A festival that regenerates the historic center

Organized by the Associazione Culturale Il Centro della Potenza, with the collaboration of the Municipality of Potenza, Borgo dei Sapori is much more than a food festival: it is a way to bring life and sociality back to the alleys of the historic center, intertwining food and wine, culture, and community. A delicious stroll that, edition after edition, has become a regular fixture for the people of Potenza and visitors to Basilicata.
