The opening weekend of the Susa Valley's widespread festival, held at the Roman Amphitheatre
Borgate dal Vivo is one of Piedmont's most original summer festivals. Its unique format brings concerts, theatre, and live performances to alpine villages and the most evocative historic sites in the Susa Valley, living up to its slogan: "the biggest festival in the smallest places." Founded in 2016 and curated by the Revejo association under the artistic direction of Alberto Milesi, the festival reaches its 11th edition in 2026. Running from June 26th to August 29th, it features over 35 events across fourteen municipalities in the provinces of Turin and Cuneo.
The town of Susa, in the province of Turin, is the symbolic home of the event. Each year, it hosts the inaugural weekend in its Roman Amphitheatre, an archaeological site with a capacity of about one thousand, providing a breathtaking backdrop for evening shows under the stars. Attending a concert within the walls of a Roman-era amphitheatre, in the city once belonging to Queen Adelaide, combines live art, historical heritage, and mountain landscapes into an unforgettable experience.
For the 2026 edition, the Roman Amphitheatre of Susa lights up the festival with three standout evenings:
The Susa evenings kick off a broader program that continues until the end of August, reaching fascinating locations such as the Fort of Exilles, the Castle of Susa, the Castles of Lagnasco, and the former Musso Barracks in Saluzzo, alternating big names of the Italian scene with emerging artists. Alongside the concerts, the «Borgate in Cammino» project offers trekking itineraries featuring theatrical and musical storytelling along the valley's trails. Borgate dal Vivo is recognized as an eco-sustainable event (Legambiente's Eco Certified Events) and supports charity and reforestation projects.
Tickets for shows at the Roman Amphitheatre of Susa can be purchased online via Vivaticket and, subject to availability, at the festival box offices. We recommend checking the official website for start times, availability, and updated ticket prices.
The 11th edition of Borgate dal Vivo kicks off at the Roman Amphitheatre of Susa with three major evenings. Friday, June 26 features «La misteriosa scomparsa di W», a theatrical performance with Ambra Angiolini based on the text by Stefano Benni. Saturday, June 27 is the turn of Cristiano De André, paying tribute to his father Fabrizio's repertoire. Sunday, June 28 concludes the inaugural weekend with a concert by Niccolò Fabi. The amphitheatre, with about one thousand seats, provides an archaeological backdrop for evening shows in the town of Susa, in the province of Turin.
The Roman Amphitheatre of Susa is located in the archaeological area of the city, in Susa (TO), in the lower Susa Valley. By car: A32 Turin–Bardonecchia motorway, exit Susa Est or Susa Ovest. By train: Susa or Bussoleno station, well-connected to Turin along the Susa Valley line.
The shows are held outdoors in the evening: we recommend bringing a warm layer even in summer and wearing comfortable footwear. Tickets are available on Vivaticket; please check start times and availability on the official website www.borgatedalvivo.it.
