Every summer, the Villaggio Kinka in Pragelato, in the heart of the upper Val Chisone, transforms for a weekend into a little corner of the Far West. The "Old Wild West" National Country Gathering brings together dancers and fans of country-western music and dance from all over Italy for two intense days of live music, group dancing, and conviviality. The event is organized by the Old Wild West Country Western Dance & Music association, with artistic direction by Mapi Gualdi and musical direction by DJ Antonio.
Country music and dance
The program revolves around country-western dancing: throughout the weekend, there is a rotation of group dance sessions, listening moments, and dance evenings animated by country-style DJ sets. It is a proposal designed for both experienced dancers and those taking their first steps who want to approach this discipline in an informal and welcoming atmosphere.
More than just music: the mountains of Villaggio Kinka
The strength of the gathering lies in its location in nature. Villaggio Kinka provides ample outdoor space and numerous activities: horseback riding, sports, hiking, and relaxation at altitude, perfect for fully experiencing the Piedmontese summer. Sunday is also dedicated to mountain activities in Val Chisone, while the afternoon and evening return to being dominated by dance and music.

2026 Edition
The 2026 "Old Wild West" National Country Gathering takes place on Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28 at the Villaggio Kinka in Pragelato, with continuous hours from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Saturday includes free arrival, outdoor activities such as horseback riding, tennis, bike rentals, and climbing, followed by country dancing in the evening. Sunday is dedicated to mountain activities in Val Chisone, with listening sessions during the day and dancing in the afternoon and evening.
The organization is managed by Old Wild West Country Western Dance & Music with Mapi Gualdi and DJ Antonio. Restaurant service (appetizers, first courses, meats, cheese boards, salads, and desserts) and the bar are available throughout the day.

How to get there
Pragelato can be reached by car from Turin along the SS23 Sestriere road (approx. 90 km). The nearest train station is Oulx, on the Turin-Bardonecchia line, from where you can continue by bus or car. Reference airport: Turin-Caselle.
