The medieval village of Bordighera Alta becomes an open-air restaurant
Un Paese di Sapori is the gastronomic event that opens the season every summer in the charming historic centre of Bordighera Alta, in the heart of the city in the province of Imperia. The medieval village, with its alleys and small squares, transforms into a large open-air restaurant, where you can walk from stand to stand tasting local specialities.
The protagonists of the event are over twenty chefs, restaurateurs, and food artisans, who offer a culinary itinerary along the village streets. Ligurian cuisine and its excellences are at the centre of a journey designed to discover the flavours of the Riviera dei Fiori in a unique setting, within the walls and views of Bordighera Alta.
The festival is not just about food: musical events suitable for all ages are scheduled for every evening. To enhance the cultural heritage of the village, guided tours are organised in the Beodo area, to Villa Garnier and Villa Pompeo Mariani, places linked to the stay of the famous painter Claude Monet in Bordighera.
Promoted by the Municipality and Confcommercio with the contribution of the Liguria Region and the Chamber of Commerce of the Ligurian Riviera, Un Paese di Sapori is part of a strategy that makes gastronomy a pillar of local tourism development. The event invites you to rediscover Bordighera Alta, one of the most fascinating historic villages on the Imperia coast.
