The village festival at the foot of the Südtirol Arena in Anterselva
Biathlon Gaudi is the village festival that accompanies the major biathlon competitions in the Anterselva Valley (Antholzertal), in the municipality of Rasun-Anterselva/Rasen-Antholz, in the province of Bolzano, Trentino-South Tyrol. The heart of the festivities is in Anterselva di Mezzo (Antholz-Mittertal), just a few steps from the Südtirol Arena Alto Adige, the famous biathlon range nestled at an altitude of 1,600 meters among the Dolomite peaks near the Austrian border.
On every competition day, the Biathlon Gaudi village transforms into a meeting point for fans, athletes, and enthusiasts. The formula is proven: DJ sets and live concerts liven up the afternoon and evening, while chalets and stalls offer South Tyrolean culinary specialties, beer, and traditional drinks. A large LED giant screen at the entrance broadcasts the races live, allowing you to experience every shot and sprint even outside the stadium.
In February 2026, Biathlon Gaudi took on a special role: the Anterselva Valley hosted the biathlon events of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. During the competition days, the village remained open from the afternoon until late at night, featuring live broadcasts of the Olympic events on the giant screen, music, and food, becoming the natural gathering place for the public after medals were awarded at the range.
Biathlon Gaudi is not just linked to the Olympics: it returns every year for the IBU Biathlon World Cup hosted by Anterselva at the Südtirol Arena, one of the most beloved events on the international circuit. The festival combines elite biathlon sports with the hospitality and traditions of the Puster Valley, offering an experience that goes far beyond the sporting competition.
The 2026 edition of Biathlon Gaudi was the Olympic one: the Anterselva Valley hosted the biathlon races of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games. During the competition days, the public was able to follow the Olympic races live on the LED giant screen at the entrance to the village, while DJs and live concerts accompanied the afternoon and evening, with stalls offering South Tyrolean culinary specialties and traditional drinks. Free admission, restricted to those aged 18 and over.
