Atmosphere Under Construction — Piccolo Cielo at Basaglia Park

A New Sky over Basaglia Park

Basaglia Park in Gorizia, the former psychiatric hospital complex linked to Franco Basaglia's revolution, is today a place seeking new forms of cultural and social life. Here, in the former Church of the Stigmata, Piccolo Cielo has opened, an inclusive cultural space founded by the Fierascena APS theatre company, dedicated to live performances, talks, training, and experiences in various artistic disciplines.

The "Atmospheres" Program

Piccolo Cielo's activities are organized around Atmospheres: thematic cycles that, from April to June 2026, create shared spaces for dialogue and reflection through theatre, cinema, music, literature, and art. After the Oniric, Future, Sustainable, and Authorial atmospheres, the journey concludes with Atmosphere Under Construction, dedicated to community building and care as an artistic and social practice.

Brick Park: The Park Built Together

The central event of Atmosphere Under Construction is Brick Park, a collective workshop where participants, brick by brick, build a scale model of Basaglia Park in LEGO. A symbolic and concrete gesture, guided by technical experts, that transforms the audience into protagonists and tells the story and future of this special place.

Mental Health and Community

Consistent with Basaglia's legacy, the Atmosphere also includes a public meeting on mental health, an opportunity to reflect with the citizens on a topic that has deep roots in Gorizia. An initiative that intertwines culture, participation, and civic engagement, in line with Fierascena APS's mission to use art as a tool for care.
