Atmosfere in Anguillara Sabazia: Where Art Meets Landscape

Atmosfere - In the Palace and Gardens is the cultural festival that brings summer to life in Anguillara Sabazia, a village overlooking Lake Bracciano in the province of Rome, Lazio. Now in its fourth edition in 2026, the festival offers ten evenings of music, theatre, and storytelling, all with free admission, from May 30 to July 26, 2026.

The heart of the event lies in its unique venues: the Giardini del Torrione and the historic Orsini residence, the baronial palace that dominates the town's medieval center. In this setting, art engages in a dialogue with the landscape and the lake's waters, a fundamental element of the Sabazia territory's identity.

Artistic Direction by Mauro Di Domenico

The artistic direction is led by musician Mauro Di Domenico, who boasts collaborations with artists such as Nicola Piovani, Mauro Pagani, Inti-Illimani, and writer Luis Sepúlveda. The theme for the 2026 edition is the relationship between art and the environment, with water as a symbolic protagonist, highlighting the ancestral role of lakeside locations as crossroads of culture.

A Program of Singer-Songwriter Music and Theatre

The program alternates between concerts, theatrical performances, and readings, featuring well-known names from the Italian scene. The opening on May 30 features Enten Hitti with the Concerto per l'Acqua (Concert for Water), a tribute to Leonardo da Vinci and his studies on water movement, with the participation of actress Ilaria Drago. Subsequent weeks will feature, among others, singer-songwriter Rosario Di Bella, actor Enzo De Caro, Senegalese artist Badarà Seck with his world music sounds, Totò Cascio with his Nuovo Cinema Paradiso, and Carlo Marrale, the historic voice of Matia Bazar.

Anguillara Sabazia, a Village on the Lake

Nestled on a small promontory on the eastern shore of Lake Bracciano, just a few kilometers from Rome, Anguillara Sabazia is one of the most charming villages in the Sabatino district. Its medieval historic center, small harbor, and Palazzo Orsini provide a natural backdrop for a festival dedicated to enhancing the territory's identity through culture. The event is supported by the Lazio Region and the Municipality of Anguillara Sabazia, in collaboration with the local Pro Loco and the DMO Beltur Lakes of Rome.
